1. Who We Are

Pulse UP! is an interactive presentation platform. When we say "we", "our", or "us", we mean Pulse UP! and its operators. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Presentation data: Slide content, settings, and session metadata you create.
  • Participant data: Display names entered by session participants (no account required). Participant IDs are randomly generated and not linked to real identities.
  • Response data: Answers, poll votes, and quiz responses submitted during sessions.
  • Uploaded files: Documents you upload for AI-assisted slide import are processed and then discarded. We do not retain uploaded files beyond the processing session.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the platform and your presentations.
  • To enforce subscription limits and billing.
  • To display real-time analytics to the session host.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Data Storage & Infrastructure

Pulse UP! is built on the Base44 platform. All data is stored securely on Base44's infrastructure. Data is protected using row-level security (RLS) — meaning each user can only access their own data, and participants can only access data for the session they are attending.

5. Data Retention

  • Account and presentation data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Session data (responses and participants) for ended sessions is automatically purged 30 days after the session ends.
  • Support ticket attachments are stored in private, access-controlled storage with time-limited download links.
  • You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.

6. Participant Privacy

Participants joining sessions are only asked for a display name. No email, phone number, or account is required. Participant activity is linked to a randomly generated, anonymous ID that is stored in their browser's local storage and is cleared when they clear their browser data.

7. Your Rights

Under POPIA and GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can download a copy of your data directly from your account settings, or request deletion of your account and all associated data.
